15/11/07 Pooma album out, tour with Pepe Deluxé coming!

The debut album of Pooma is out in Finland, so get your copy while theyre hot! The band has also agreed to go on tour with the mightty Pepe Deluxé in January. The tour will includer all major cities in Finland, so be sure to catch the band live when theyre playing at a club near you.

01/07/07 Pooma album ready

After 2 years of work the debut album of Pooma is finally ready. We will announce the exact release date soon, but it will be in September. It goes without saying that we are very happy for the band for finishing up the intense, exhausting work period, congratulations! The band will perform at the Flow-festival in Helsinki on 17.8.

28/06/07 Hidria Spacefolks "Symetria" licensed to Germany

Hidria Spacefolks Symetria-album will be released in Germany by Nordic Notes. The band will perform at the Ilosaarirock-festival in Joensuu, Finland 14.7 after a short break in performing live

28/06/07 Oi miten suuria voimia! licensed to Taiwan

The Regina album Oi miten suuria voimia! will be released in Taiwan by White Rabbitt Records. The second album from the band has received great critical acclaim in Finland after its release in the end of March, and the band has toured in extensively in Finland, Russia and Denmark.

26/02/07 The new Regina album out 21.3!

The second, highly anticipated album from Regina will hit the shops on 21.3. Oi miten suuria voimia!- album presents a new, lighter sound of the band, and contains 10 pop-gems that will surely delight the indie-pop fans of all sizes and shapes. The new Hidria Spacefolk album, entitled Symetria, will be released on 7.3. It contains 6 tracks of epic astro-beat in the vein of the previous albums, but with sharper arrangements and a hint of a dirty garage-vibe.

02/11/06 Next Big Thing signs Vuk

Next Big Thing has signed a deal with the Helsinki based artist Vuk, who released her debut on the finnish Verdura records in 2003. Vuk is currenly writing new material for her second album that will be released in the spring of 2007. The tracks we have already heard are nothing short of brilliant, we hope you will be equally excited when you hear them!

The debut album of Pooma will be mixed by Gunnar Orn Tynes of the Icelandic band Mum. The release of the album will be in the beginning of 2007.

31/07/06 Katso maisemaa released in Japan

Regina's debut album Katso maisemaa will be released in Japan in August. The license deal with the Tokyo based label Philter Records was signed in the beginning of July. The Japanese release includes 2 exclusive remixes, a Boys of Scandinavia version of Olisitko sittenkin halunnut palata, and a Regina Megamix version of Kohtaamisia kaupungissa.

18/05/06 Siiri Nordin- Me Too out now!

The sunny solo debut of Siiri Nordin is in the stores, on the radio waves, in the air of the soothing northern summer. The press is loving it (Rumba-magazine already gave it four shining stars, and so did Helsingin Sanomat/ NYT) and we hope you will like it too, so get your copy now!

15/05/06 Regina to perform at Provinssirock

Regina will perform at the greatest of the Finnish festivals, Provinssirock, at Seinäjoki on Friday 16.6. The band will also play at Ilosaarirock, another beautiful festival in Joensuu, 16.7.

04/03/06 Regina wins at Femma-Gala

Regina was victorious at Femmagaala. The band was awarded with the "Ylä-Femma"-award for making the jury realize how out-of-date they actually are.

08/02/06 Gris album slightly delayed

The release schedule of the Gris album is late because mixing has taken more time than expected. Its all done now, and it sounds amazing, very unique. Expect to find the album in Finnish shops in APRIL.

04/01/06 Next Big Thing signs Siiri Nordin

Next Big Thing has signed a recording deal with Siiri Nordin. 25 year old Siiri is well known both domestically and internationally for her previous work as the lead singer of the pop-group Killer, and the 2 extremely successful albums they recorded before splitting up last year. Both "Sickeningly pretty & unpleasantly vain" and "Sure you know how to drive this thing" topped the charts in Finland, but the second of the albums was the real breakthrough for the band. It included the gold selling smash-hit "Naughty Boy", the tune that dominated the Finnish radio waves 2003, went number 1 in the MTV Nordic chart, and also aided the band into success in Germany, Italy and Poland. After the active days of Killer Siiri once again returned to the top of the Finnish radio charts, now solo with the track Sydämeni osuman sai, version of Gene Pitney's classic Something's gotten hold of my heart, recorded for the score of the film Helmiä ja Sikoja. After that she decided to take a break from writing music.

Siiri is now writing new material for her first solo release. The first single will be released during the spring, and the album is expected to be ready for release before the summer. Stay tuned for more information.

01/01/06 Katso maisemaa the third best Finnish album of the year!

The Finnish music magazine Rumba has announced the list of the best albums of the year, voted by the magazines critics. The debut album of Regina is number three on the list, being topped only by the platinum selling PMMP album Kovemmat kädet, and Rajan piirsin taa, the third album from the flagship of the finnish art-rock, Liekki. On the list of the best tracks of the year the first Regina single Olisitko sittennkin halunnut palata was voted number 4.

24/11/05 Regina - Katso maisemaa on the national album chart

Regina- Katso maisemaa makes the first appearance on the national album chart, the position a week after the release is 31. Nöjesguiden magazine rates the album number 6 on the "Best finnish releases of the year"-chart, leaving behind exellent albums from HIM, Jori Hulkkonen and Redrama. Thanks for the compliments, Nöjesguiden!

22/11/05 Gris has finished the recordings of their debut album.

The mixing will start later on the week, and the first single will be distributed to the radio stations right after New Year, and released commercially 11.01.2006. The album will be released 15.02.2006. Were very excited about this release, its musically amazing and sounds very fresh, surprising. Its something new, the way we like it!

Olisitko sittenkin halunnut palata is the powerplay of the week on the national YleX-channel on week 39/05. Tell the channel what you think about Regina on their website: www.yle.fi/ylex. The track is also currently number one on the weekly chart of the local Radio Helsinki- channel. Regina-fever is spreading!
